This facility serves as Boeing’s India headquarters and also functions as the primary office for Boeing Defence India (BDI), the company’s wholly owned subsidiary.
This location is the headquarters of Boeing Commercial Airplanes India and the base for the Global Support Center – India team. It serves as the primary hub for airline customer engagement and support across India and the South Asia region.
Boeing has a strong presence in Bengaluru, which houses the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC), a state-of-the-art 43-acre campus and the largest Boeing facility of its kind outside the United States.
Boeing maintains a presence in Chennai, where part of the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) team is located.
It is home to Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems that manufactures AH-64 aerostructures—including fuselages and other key components—for global customers, along with vertical fins for the 737 program.
Boeing and India share a long-standing partnership in commercial aviation. Our customers in the country include Air India, Air India Express, Akasa Air, SpiceJet, and cargo operators such as Afcom Cargo, Blue Dart, SpiceXpress, and Quikjet. A range of Boeing aircraft—including the Next-Generation 737, 737 MAX, 757, 777, and the 787 Dreamliner—continue to deliver a superior flying experience to millions of Indian passengers. To strengthen regional cargo capabilities, Boeing has partnered with GMR Aero Technic to establish a 737 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) line in Hyderabad. Together, we have achieved operational readiness to begin freighter conversions, enhancing India’s cargo infrastructure. Boeing’s Global Support Center provides tailored operational efficiency and safety enhancement programs to airline customers, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders. Complementing this, the Boeing India Distribution Center in Khurja, Uttar Pradesh—a 36,000-square-foot parts warehouse—supports fleet utilization and mission readiness by ensuring timely availability of critical components. In line with India’s environmental goals, Boeing has also partnered with HPCL to advance the country’s sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) ecosystem and support long-term decarbonization efforts.

Boeing remains deeply committed to supporting and advancing India’s rapidly growing defence sector. We play a significant role in enhancing the mission readiness and modernization of the Indian Armed Forces. India operates an extensive portfolio of Boeing platforms, including 11 C-17s, 22 AH-64 Apaches (with six additional aircraft on order), 15 CH-47 Chinooks, 12 P-8Is, three VVIP aircraft (based on the 737 airframe), and two Head of State aircraft (based on the 777 airframe). This makes India one of Boeing’s largest and most important defence markets globally.
Boeing has delivered 22 AH-64 Apache helicopters to the Indian Air Force. Six more are to be delivered to the Indian Army.

Boeing Global Services provides comprehensive sustainment solutions across both commercial and defence platforms. As part of Boeing’s regional growth strategy, Boeing Defence India (BDI) was established in 2017 to support the Indian armed forces and strengthen in-country capabilities. Aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India initiative, BDI leverages Boeing’s global expertise to deliver cost-effective solutions, timely support, and high mission readiness. Its integrated logistics and Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) offerings ensure exceptional platform availability for the P-8I, Apache, Chinook, and C-17 fleets, with the latter supported through the Globemaster Integrated Support Program (GISP). Through the Boeing India Repair Development and Sustainment (BIRDS) program, BDI continues to collaborate with customers and industry partners to expand regional MRO infrastructure and advance India’s ambition of becoming a leading MRO hub.
Boeing’s commitment to nurturing and strengthening the supplier ecosystem in India’s aerospace and defence sector is central to its overall supply chain strategy in the country. Boeing is the largest foreign OEM sourcing from India, procuring over $1.25 billion annually through a rapidly expanding network of more than 300 supplier partners, including over 25 percent MSMEs, all of whom play an essential role in Boeing’s global supply base. This expanding ecosystem reflects significant progress in quality, capability, and technological sophistication—moving from basic assemblies to highly complex systems that involve advanced materials such as composites and full-size determinant assembly (FSDA) supported by next-generation manufacturing technologies like robotics.
Indian suppliers today manufacture critical components and systems for some of Boeing’s most advanced platforms, including the F/A-18 Super Hornet, F-15, CH-47 Chinook, P-8, AH-64 Apache, 777, 787 Dreamliner, and 737. This exemplifies Boeing’s commitment to “Make in India for the World,” with a strong focus on technology-driven value addition and complex manufacturing.
Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), Boeing’s joint venture with Tata Advanced Systems in Hyderabad, is a global manufacturing hub for Apache fuselages and 737 vertical fin structures. The partnership underscores Boeing’s commitment to the 'Make in India' and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, and aligns with the U.S.-India Roadmap for Defense Industrial Cooperation.
Liquid Robotics, a Boeing company, has signed an MoU with Sagar Defence Engineering Pvt. Ltd. to co-develop and co-produce Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs). Aligned with the U.S.-India Roadmap for Defense Industrial Cooperation, the partnership will advance undersea domain awareness through joint manufacturing, ocean testing, system interoperability, and Wave Glider MRO capabilities. The MoU supports the ASIA initiative to strengthen industrial partnerships and expand production capacity across the Indo-Pacific.
Kaushal, a Boeing India Supply Chain initiative, focuses on voluntary supplier skill development through collaborative training. By bringing together Boeing, suppliers, and industry partners, it builds resilience across the supply chain and reflects a long-term commitment to capability-building and sustainable growth.
The Accelerated Apprenticeship Program, developed with AI Engineering Services Limited and the Ministry of Civil Aviation, enhances employability for aircraft maintenance engineers through a Boeing-designed curriculum and hands-on training. Similar partnerships with Tata, Rossell Techsys, TAML, Jaivel, and Lakshmi Machine Works are enabling workforce training in aerospace manufacturing and frontline operations across India.
Boeing’s Global Support Center in Gurugram, along with the Global Strategic Initiatives team, drives operational efficiency, safety, and innovation through tailored projects and industry engagements such as the India Air Cargo Symposium, Pilot Roundtable, Executive Development Programs, and Sustainability Workshops.
Boeing has partnered with the Airports Authority of India and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency to deliver a 10-year CNS/ATM modernization roadmap, underscoring its role in advancing India's aviation infrastructure.

In January 2024, the Boeing Sukanya Program was launched by the Prime Minister of India. It aims to support the entry of more girl children from across India into the country’s growing aviation sector. In April 2021, Boeing had launched a $10 million emergency assistance package to support India’s COVID-19 response.
Boeing University Innovation Leadership Development (BUILD) Program is the annual flagship aerospace innovation, leadership, and talent development program by Boeing India. Launched in 2019 and designed for university graduates and early-stage startup entrepreneurs across the country, the program aims to support India's robust startup ecosystem by providing a platform for students and startups to innovate in India, for India, and the world. Participants are encouraged to develop technology-driven solutions that can have real-world applications in aerospace and related domains. This initiative reflects Boeing’s long-term commitment to developing India's talent ecosystem and contributing to the nation’s growing innovation landscape.
The Boeing National Aeromodelling Competition is one of India’s largest and most popular aeromodelling programs. It is organized for students across India. It is conducted in association with IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and R.V. College of Engineering, and Skyfi is the logistics partner for the competition.
The competition started as an annual event in 2013 to provide a nationwide platform for students who have a keen interest in aerospace engineering and related fields.
The competition allows them to demonstrate their skills and creativity in designing, building, and flying fixed-wing aircraft models of different types and sizes.
